538 Chauncey Street

Yes, I know. It's been a spell. Where have I been? Well, I'd like to say off on a romp in Europe but the truth is I've been home lamenting my career as an actress. Why lamenting? Weeell, it's been rough out there. But hey, this isn't a place for crybabies and, lucky for me, I've got friends who like to write, dress up, and turn on the camera.

This past weekend, my friends and I shot the first episode of 538 Chauncey Street, a new "Honeymooners"- style web series. The episode should be ready soon but here's some teaser production stills to get you excited. Are you? ...Excited? Cause I am!

Plenty of Mitch

Great news! My friend Berto wrote me into his web series "Plenty of Mitch." I play Vanessa, a lovable sex addict! The series follows Mitch's search of love through the web. Hey, it's fun and made by my friends, so watch it, maybe?

Calendar Girl

I have never considered myself a model and I still don't. I have short legs, a round tummy, and, as of lately, red dots on my face. But hey, I'm not a complete loss. I do things to fix myself. Heels/platforms somewhat counter the height problem (even though I still have to look up at most), AND I have finally joined the world of make-up! As for the tummy... get off my back.

Oh yeah, the point of this rant. Someone hired me as a car calendar model! And PAID me for it too! Heh Sucker..

I guess they couldn't use any shots of me actually looking at the camera.... My eyes were too penetrating I suppose, too powerful to be used in an advertising campaign...yeah that must have been the reason.

Theatre 68 Haunted House

Did you know every October I participate in a Haunted House? It's true, I do! It's kind of a fundraiser for my theatre company - Theatre 68. We opened this weekend to the wild applause of scare-seekers everywhere. You should probably come out and see what we've done to the place. What was once a Hollywood 99-seat theater is now a creepy  HollyWEIRD maze full of crazy wack-a-doos (aka actors) intent on scaring the poo out of anyone who comes through.  Honestly, look at this picture... imagine this coming at you from out of a dark corner...  Tell me you're not totally intrigued and I'll let it go. I won't urge you to come to 5419 W. Sunset Blvd. Oct. 19-Oct. 31st. 8pm-11pm/Midnight (different times on different days). I won't do it. I'll keep my mouth shut and never broach the subject. I won't even say that we have free candy in the lobby. Nope! You won't hear that from me. Or even that you can get half price tickets at  http://www.lastagealliance.com/theatre68hauntedhouse/ . But that's only if you tell me you're not remotely interested in what us 68-ers have put together. Otherwise, I'll point you in the right direction and hope you creep on by. We'll be waiting for you. www.theatre68.com

A Two Year Summary

So here's the thing. I created this blog to replaced an antiquated news feed that was featured up until now on my shiny website. That "system" was basically a long text box (with a scroll bar) that I would add to every once in a while. Can you believe I was EVER that lame, that I didn't have an RSS feed? I know.. I can hardly believe it myself. Anywho, now I have the problem of what to do with all that text. I can't make all new posts; that would be... stupid. I guess my answer to that problem is this blog entry. I'm just gonna upload all that past news here (with added video and picture bling), in case you're just dying to know what I was up to back in July 2010. A New Hope. wait, that's not original. AN OLD HOPE, REVISITED

Honestly, the internet weirds me out a little. Nevertheless, an actress (I think that's what I'm still calling myself) needs to make herself a little uncomfortable once in while.

I'll be using this blog to highlight my "Acting" accomplishments as they come. No doubt, there will be cricket spells that last longer than a chirp but I'll find something to fill the gaps (most likely items from my Amazon wishlist that I'll hope to receive from adoring fans).

If you're wondering about the dinosaurs, they're here serving an essential purpose. This industry is a dinosaur-eat-dinosaur kinda world. Even the pretty little dinosaurs can't wait to rip out your throat, and all your hopes and dreams along with it. Consider these Mesozoic fellows a symbol of this fact, or whatever.

DON"T WORRY THOUGH. This will not be the rantings of a disillusioned dinosaur. This WILL BE success. If you build it, they will come right? ..Is it terrible that I'm not exactly sure where that line is from (excluding a spoof of the original on an episode of Married with Children)? Oh man... that was a great show.
